On a certain level someone uncompromising is what is needed. Schexnayder and Cortez are essentially worthless. You want definitions of RINO??? Those guys are the poster children. I would love someone like a Nelson who would have the balls to say. " These guys are losers who come to BR to collect a paycheck and go home a little richer than when they first arrive....yeah they are just fine with the status quo....meanwhile the non politically connected get shafted. Education sucks, the business climate sucks. We peg our budget to the price of a barrel of oil. That is stupid!!!!"

I'm not disagreeing with you. The legislature is two rooms full of idiots, and Nelson's style of going into the rooms and calling them all idiots who need to listen to him because he is so smart won't lead to results.

I love many of his ideas, especially on literacy and tax policy, but to get things done you have to have allies, and he tends to alienate people.
