No, I have a practical perspective. Look at statistics and at historical data. Paying tens of thousands of dollars to get a degree in a hobby is odd. If you want to dabble in history, take online free non-credit classes through Hillsdale, Oxford, whoever. Read tomes and tomes! Watch documentaries, travel to historical destinations, read the top 100 books of all time, etc.
There are many much cheaper ways to become a 'well-rounded person.' You are a very rare exception.

So, the liberal arts model should be killed according to you apparently. Despite the role that universities have had in Western Civilization, they should be replaced by solely technical and professional schools, huh?

My degree is Bachelor of Criminal Justice. The agency I worked for didn’t require anything specialized, just a sheepskin. I wish I had gotten a history degree, far more interesting than C.J.
