It is one of the worst things I have ever dealt with and did it twice.

I am now 58 and cannot fathom owning another dog and having to do it again. My wife and I love dogs but 2 years later we can't bring ourselves to get another one.

My only advice is....

1- Your dog lived a blessed life because they had you as their master. Hold on to that.

2- Only time can help.... but it will never fully heal. We just have to carry it.

3- Don't beat yourself up with regret.
