New Lawn Mower suggestions

I don't want to spend much on a lawn mower as my yard isn't large. I did however want to start cutting it myself.
Would a Reel Lawn mower work or should I get a push mower. I just don't like dealing with gas but also never tried electric either.
Just a 1/2 acre lot. Weird backyard with a slope that doesnt need much cutting.

1/2 acre is a decent size neighborhood lot.
Electric is probably the best option if you don’t like dealing with gas. Recommend at least two batteries.
A reel mower requires a little bit of maintenance and to me is more of a specialty thing. They can be cheap and easy, but for a 1/2 acre lot and just your normal cuts, I’d go with a rotary mower.

I love my EGO brushless push mower. $600 when it was on sale. 7.5 Ah battery I believe, gives around an hour of runtime if youre not going yhrough super dense grass. Ryobi makes decent mowers but 1/2 acre might push it. Their whole lineup of lawncare tools are great. They make a multi-head system that you can purchase a weed wacker/edger/polsaw attachment to do all the jobs.
If you go gas, any Toro or Honda mower will work.
Electric is becoming the new norm, especially since you can change out batteries to power your other tools as I mentioned above.
EGO POWER+ Touch Drive 56-volt 21-in Self-propelled Cordless Lawn Mower 7.5 Ah (Battery & Charger Included)
EGO Power+ Multi-Head System MHC1502 3 in. 56 V Battery Edger/Trimmer Kit (Battery & Charger) W/ 5.0 AH BATTERY

I took the plunge last summer with EGO. Fits my needs well.

I just got the EGO LM2101. 21" single blade push mower. Cheapest they make I believe. $389 with 5ah battery and rapid charger. I like it so far. Had cheaper battery powered 16" before and just wanted bigger.
For small lawns I don't understand the need for self-propelled machines that get up damn near $1000.

If you go with the EGO I recommend either buying or upgrading to the dual blade. It makes a big difference in the mulching capabilities.

Ego stores well too.
+1 on the rapid charger.

Whatever electric you get don't get anything less than 56V. Ego has the 56V. Greenworks has the nice 60V and 80V version, too.

I installed the single "high lift" blade. I have a ton of trees and bag clippings to help remove pine needles, leaves, and twigs as much as possible. Yard is significantly cleaner looking that way.
