I wouldn't do this personally. Driving in a foreign country the day of an international flight with jet lag is not the safest and is not easy. Its doable, but I'm just warning you I'd look into other options.

Maybe train to Bayeux and rent a car there? At least then you can nap on the train. Just trying to help with my experience.

I agree, last year we landed in Dublin and drove straight to Galway. My eyes were pretty heavy the last hour or so of that drive.
I'm looking into other options, the train being one of them.

Yeah that is tough. We spent the first night in Paris before picking up a car and driving to Bayeux.

We drove through the Somme battlefield highlights and stayed a night in Amiens before reaching Bayeux however. We were in country for two weeks so we have more time to slow down the trip.
