Sports Med PA here who assists with 2-3 knee scopes on a given week.

If they do a meniscus repair… life will suck for a while, 4-6 weeks on crutches with no or limited weight bearing on that leg and no bending past 90 degrees

Being an airplane pilot makes things more interesting, the risk for blood clots, the need to be active for in case of emergency, the possibility of being on narcotics may take you out of work longer, I would hope your employer would make you get medically cleared before returning, and they way you described the incident it may fall under workers comp?

Well here’s the MRI results. So I presume surgery is my only option.
