I suffered a torn meniscus during the pandemic. My orthopedic doctor tried treating it with steroids and gel injections to no avail. When the powers that be finally allowed elective surgery he did arthroscopic surgery, also no relief. Finally, I had a full knee replacement and I'm walking and exercising without pain.
