I'm not a big baseball guy so I knew about the pitch clock but didn't know abotu this one.
Probably a stupid quesiton, but if a pitcher does make 2 pickoff attempts on a guy, wouldn't he just automatically get to steal ont eh next pitch? I mean he can take an enormous lead since he knows there's no pickoff attempt coming, it's practically giving him a free base.

Not quite. The rule allows for the pitcher to pick a third time, but he must record an out in doing so. If he doesn't, a balk is called. So a guy can't just get a 20-foot lead because he can still be picked off.
