Here's a hint, Elizabeth and James Murdoch are urging Rupert to dump FNC. Lachlan is running the show there. He is a punk CEO, playing with daddy's money. Rupert may not like Trump, but Lachlan and his buddy Paul Ryan hate him.
A bit more perspective. Rupert's statement about calling the election may or may not be in context, it certainly was not a directive. Selection of Chris Stirewalt (the FNC director who made the AZ call) to run FNC election coverage was Lachlan's choice. Firing Stirewalt was an order coming directly from Rupert, not Lachlan.

The problem with the uber right in electoral politics is that they don't pay attention to the game board. OMG Arizona and Georgia went to Democrats in a tight manner! It has to be cheating and Republicans there helped!
If you had been paying attention since 2012 you would know that none of this should come as a big surprise. In AZ Democrats were gaining control on the local level....which meant they were slowly getting an edge. There were organizers there out of California beginning in early 2017 but especially in Maricopa.
In GA the Democrats essentially advertised it.
Oh but this is Jawja we are talking about. It's a Southern state. That can't happen in Dixie! OFA had been working in Atlanta and the suburbs for 8 years trying to leverage votes and flip the state and then good fortune dropped in on the Senate election with both Senate seats up and the Republicans threw up tired and really bad candidates. Republicans ignored it. Trump ignored it.
I had a good friend in Tucson who told me about a month before the election that Republicans might be in trouble and he complained that the party was not doing shite about it.
Trump and the Republicans earned those losses.

Exactly. I have yet to see anyone post how Fox making the call in Arizona changed anything. Sure, it makes people mad, but it has zero impact on the actual count or result.
