The judging on Vault will be interesting in the night session.

The starting order for Sunday is based on NQS placement; so, the no.2 NQS in that meet starts on vault. Assuming Michigan advances, that would be us.
So it’s NQS and not results from this meet? Interesting. Has it always been like that?

Its so odd how they randomly assign rotations.
Personally I would love for the higher seeds get to pick which event they would like to start on first, then the next highest seed gets to pick, so on..

What if they tie on Sunday? How in the world would they break that tiebreaker? That would be so heartbreaking for one of the teams.

Just like today. Top 2 move on. If it’s a tie for 2nd/3rd then they count the dropped scores to see who moves on.

How do they figure out who hosts super regionals? Just wondering.
There are no super regionals. Just regionals and finals. And they are predetermined a couple years in advance like basketball. First round (which is really more of a play in game), second round (which is what we did today), and 3rd round are all at the same site. Then 4th round (semi finals) and finals are at the same site.

A tie would likely be broken by adding back in the dropped scores. If it is still a tie after that I’m sure they have some 2nd tiebreaker and maybe a 3rd.

One thing I find interesting is that Alyona was scored at least .1 apart by two judges on every single event. Not sure that happened much for anyone else, much less on every event. She really is a gymnast who some judges like to hit harder and some really like her look. It isn’t really surprising but it stood out to me.

Regionals are predetermined a few years in advance. We host in 2026. Don't know how the sites are determined.

Only one gymnast out of 24 scored a 9.9 and it was exactly a 9.9. That’s highly unusual. Those judges better be consistent but it doesn’t matter for much at this point. I would love to see how many gymnasts scored 9.800-9.850 and show those judges all those vaults again and ask if they are all truly just about equal. They weren’t scoring low on vault, just giving everyone the same score. Did NO ONE stick a vault?

Bumping this for results of the other session. I looked and haven't been able to find results on any of the sessions from the other regional either.
