Just an fyi, brick mailboxes are illegal and if that teenager was hurt the parents could sue. It has to be a “break away” mailbox. That’s why when the state/parish/town blacktop a road, they demolish the brick/decorative mailboxes and put back up break away boxes.

Just looked this up and it blows my mind that they're illegal.

Brick Mail boxes are illegal because some kids like to ride their bikes real fast and irresponsibly like I used to do as a kid jumping curbs and intentionally landing into several boxes that I would place for crash landing stunts. Kids playing hard and not paying attention do stupid things. A few too many over the years get killed running into mailboxes and voila, new laws are passed. I don't agree with those type of laws because next Trees could be outlawed near the street as the Idiocracy levels increase over time. Darwin award winning kids like I could have been shouldn't drive new laws. I probably should have died doing other stupid things like jumping off the roof onto our trampoline, but then should a law be passed outlawing trampolines. A very small subset of kids getting hurt or killed or people crashing their cars into brick mailboxes should not get them outlawed in my opinion because eventually everything gets regulated and outlawed to the point you can't enjoy anything. If brick mailboxes are outlawed, why not outlaw telephone poles close to the road and cars parked in the streets to eliminate people dying that run into them?
