if true, i doubt he'll be portrayed as the big blob on clay that we've seen in TAS and the HBO Harley Quinn series.

ScreenRant brought up the idea of using the Basil Karlo storyline. I had to look it up:

https://goldenagecomics.fandom.com/wiki/Clayface

quote:

Basil Karlo, the original Clayface, was an actor who was driven mad when he heard of a re-make of the classic horror film he had starred in, The Terror. Adopting the persona of the film's villain "Clayface", he became a serial killer targeting the cast and crew. He was eventually stopped by Batman and Robin.

with the grounded style of the first movie, Clayface could be a "master of disguise" that wears different masks and committing different crimes. this will also further push the detective style of Batman we saw in the first movie.

I thought Mr. Freeze would’ve been a good narrative choice with all the flooding at the end.

Clayface is meh for me

Maybe Hollywood will get the point that not everything needs to be remade.

I had heard it was gonna be The Court Of Owls.

BTW- this is one of the best covers of all time.

I know nothing about that original Clayface but think it would be cool if he wore the face of his victims, maybe left the face at the scene of his crimes, etc etc.

I doubt he'll be the main villain. Likely supporting, like the Penguin

It's gonna be fascinating to see how they bring such an outlandishly powerful and physically bizarre villain down to earth. They didn't have a hard task with Riddler, and Joker is just a guy with a scarred face these days, but Clayface is easily one of Batman's most super-powered rogues.

I’ve wanted Clayface in live action for years so this is exciting if true. That said, I’ll be very curious to see how they translate that from comics to screen, particularly in this world Reeves has set up. If he’s not the hardest of Batman’s rogues gallery to adapt, he’s certainly on the shortlist.

I highly doubt it will live up to that version.

When he's drunk, he becomes sh*tface.

If it's Clayface, it's hard for me to think it won't be Lady Clayface (Clayface 4).

Is this Batman in a different universe than whatever James Gunn has planned for future DC movies?

Just dropped in to say that the Growing Pains episode of the New Batman Adventures was possibly the best episode of that short series.
