If you are retirement age the school system will pay you your daily pay for 25 days. Lump sum check. Then use the remaining sick days. You might have to get a doctor excuse for consecutive use of sick days used.

Only 35. I have eight years in the state so I would be vested and I can use 15 days of the accrued for buying another quarter year of retirement. The days over 15 are lost forever if I don't use. PERS system. Rather antiquated.
