Take your days. Maybe find a surgery that you can schedule ASAP. You will probably burn a bridge in that district/school but there are plenty of openings going around. I would double check with the days moving over. I just moved jobs and they said they would not transfer but they did. A lot of those HR people are pretty ignorant.

for using accrued sick time I wouldn't think so, where I work it's expected that you retire with zero sick time remaining, that's quite a bit of money
