That’s because it is shitty. You earned that time off. Take every last one of those days. Some people in education think you should martyr yourself and it’s not worth it.

I went through very similar when I left education. HR went so far as to lie to me and tell me I had to work an additional day in January to keep my insurance. And they tried to squeeze as much work out of me as they could before I left. But I used every last one of my days knowing they would get paid out to me at a fraction of what I made.
