From Worsham as well:
He's got a 22-game hit streak, a 28-game on base streak dating back to last season, and he has reached base in all but 7 of his 149 career games.
He's 2nd in slugging (.988) and OPS (1.645), and if he went hitless in his next 60 at bats, he'd still be hitting .304.

Who’s whining about it. I was replying to some jackass who said I either had to
learn it or leave. Did you not say that??

He has a higher slugging percentage than the guy at UF with 17 HRs.
I watched that game and announcer was talking about him being the best hitter in college. He's good but not crews good.

What happened to BA, R, H, HR, RBI, OBP? Baseball has lost its mind with stats.
Not really, the advanced stats kinda help explain or validate the counting (traditional) stats.

Nope, it has just improved how stats are used in the game. If you don't like it, either learn it or leave.
Pretty much, the advent of these advanced stats have made baseball a lot more competitive in the last decade. Teams with little money compared to the big market teams are able to legitimately compete for championships because of them. The Rays/Indians for example.

The point of the new stats is to do just that. Its not perfect. But when you look at the new analytics its very useful and applicable to the game. Its a huge part of the MLB,
Yeah I get it. From a fan standpoint it's a little much. I'm too old school but useful for GMs and managers I guess .

I don't know wtf that stat is, but comparing a college player against a combo of shitty and excellent college competition with ANYONE in pro is asinine.

I don’t think you can argue they can be beneficial in MLB, but as pointed out earlier stats that measure things like park dynamics are nowhere near as useful in college baseball

Does this mean Dylan Crews is really good and will be drafted real high for a lot of money?

wRC+ is a great way to measure players against each other when the park factors have large sample sizes and everyone is playing in the same parks. No matter what way they calculate park factors for college there just aren’t enough games with the same teams playing each other in multiple parks to generate a good park factor number. Even if you go back multiple years you run into issues with new stadiums, teams playing a whole season in a minor league park instead of their home field (Bama and Texas have done so recently). That’s all to say it’s nice to look at that stat but take it with a grain of salt.
I agree with this. I like the advanced stats a lot, but I have to believe the vast number of parks in Division 1 ball along with the vast differences in quality of play throughout the division make it difficult to calculate park factors and the like with any type of accuracy.

I realize I am hopelessly biased, but I think Dylan and Paul are the top two players in the country. Their numbers are astronomical, and their in-game impact is even greater.
