Yep.
He sees the train wreck that is upcoming. He knows that the best thing for the kids is just to take their money and ride into the sunset but they are so obsessed with beating him they can’t see straight.
The problem is he can’t convey it in a way that comes to them as caring and it’s so far gone at this point that even if he could it wouldn’t matter

They're looking at taking home $2-3B each for doing nothing. And they're quibbling over another $100M each at most.
