He only coached one NCAA tournament. One of his teams made it to the sweet 16 without him coaching. Not sure how you can even say that...

Offense C+ ( Knew the best ways he can use his players talents to score but would get stopped by teams with similar talent level players from time to time. Great defensive teams would give us trouble.
Defense B+ (Knew his teams were very athletic. Would switch schemes based on opponents. His extended 1-3-1 was a nightmare for most teams.
Talent Development A- ( Players always seemed to take the next step in their development each year on the team. Skylar Mays as an example. Players like Trendon Watford came in with a bunch of talent with low basketball IQ. By the time Watford left… he was a High Iq player.
That being said, Wade knew how to get his guys to play hard every night, he developed talent both physically and mentally. Team won in the clutch time after time. You knew a cool calm and collected team was taking the floor. His Xs and Os were not the best but serviceable. Overall grade of him minus recruiting I’d give an 8.2. For someone who was barely 40 years old. He would have grown and learned what he would need to improve on from an Xs and Os perspective.
That being said Wade is a special coach and still has a bright future a head of him.
