I’m not disagreeing with your premise, just don’t think this is the “gotcha” example. You could pick 100 others, I’d not more.
Just saying it’s not uncommon for people that spend time together to become friends, regardless of their convictions/ beliefs/ politics. And by uncommon, I really mean that it should be encouraged and sought after.
If you don’t have any close friends that have different beliefs, you are missing out. That’s all I’m saying.
