No, as I understand only the Attorney General or an ATF agent has a legal right to see your tax stamp (depending on state laws). Not sure any other LE has a legal right to ask, but if they're asking it's probably in your best interest to provide (assuming you have nothing to hide).
Now, a private range does not have a legal right to see your stamp; however, they have the right to ask you to leave if you don't comply with their rules if asked. Choose to take your business elsewhere.
