Strong west wind can ruin your whole day

fricking great fishing if it's not windy especially this time of the year.

Here's an awesome thread that helped me

Rayburn is a beautiful lake, better scenery than Toledo in my opinion. No permanent piers allowed on Rayburn, so it’s more natural. Toledo seems to have a clear edge on Sac-a-lait but the bass fishing is closer. Spotted bass seem to be more prevalent in Rayburn and to me it seems like a less pressures Lake.

Like an above poster says, no docks, just woods and wildlife. First time I fished it we limited out on bass. The limit is only 5 compared to 8 for TB. It has been down some the last year or so, so all the grass along the banks were high and dry. In late summer early the fall the schooling catch is unreal. Fished mostly on the south end, but did head north once and never left the cove we put in at and caught many. No boat runs that are marked, so be careful when straying from the middle to areas with timber. It should be on fire like TB is now that it back to normal lake level.

Toledo
-I lived out there and still have a place.
- easier for people to visit and fishing is good.
- trailer to the area you want to fish as it is a 70 mile lake. Grass South and Stumps North.

One time old people were dunking naked on the beach on the South part of the lake. I was on some schooling bass 2 to 3 lbs. They load up on their party barge and weee trying to follow the school of bass I was on. THIS IS NOT RIGHT. NAKED OLD PEOPLE ON A PARTY BARGE FOLLOWING THE FISH I AM ON. NOT A GOOD VIEW!

Rayburn
- even though I have a camp at Toledo I still fish. This is tournament fishing and I like the beauty.

Lake Fork
I like deep fishing.
Big bass they all have them.
