Yeah, looking at the verbiage it does say equal and not completed as I saw it misquoted last night. I guess I should have read the actual book instead of going off yahoos on the internet's summarized version.

Ole Miss would get the win in your scenario since the visiting team has been given a chance to bat and the home team took the lead in the bottom of the seventh. It would be treated just like the bottom of the ninth inning where the home team doesn't have to use all of its outs to win the game since scores can't go backwards.
