Get used to it, because this is what we will be again for the next 10-15 years.

There are a contingent of LSU fans like myself that enjoy the sport of college basketball the most. We are on the fringes looking in amongst the fanbase. The one's saying ''Wade was caught, he's gone, get over it,'' are why there is less pressure on the admins to succeed in basketball.
Wade has received no show cause and had we stuck with him we would have returned at least Brandon Murray, Miller, Efton, and had a start studded recruiting class coming in, would have been on a talent level next to Bama.
Oh well, the apathy for basketball bleeds amongst the fanbase, so here we are.
Sticking with Wade we are guaranteed a final four run sooner than later, that's why the media, other major programs wanted Wade to go down.

Nah I’d rather just say it to Scott W and and the athletic department and they can also apologize to the players for how shitty the program is now.

You follow up with a rant that says nothing about any rumors? What are the rumors?

this program isn't turning into a juggernaut anytime soon

That is unacceptable. In Wade's five seasons as LSU boss, the team was tournament-bound or on the cusp of making the tourney each and every year. Not a juggernaut, but certainly worthy of respect throughout the SEC. Now we're hard pressed to win any games at all, and get blown out on our home court by a team with a 9-16 record (2-12 in the SEC). Come on, man-- even mediocrity would be better than the embarrassing product we've seen this season.

Wrong! I believe the main problem going forward is the admin support, same issue for the past 10-15 years. Look at our facilities compared to other sec programs, look at oats still coaching. Other programs want to win in basketball more than we do. I don’t think that’s hard to see

Then go find another fricking team to support because basketball has never been a top priority here and it likely never will be. The same admin has three sports set up for title contention in the immediate future and others not far behind.

You may not like how Woodward and co handled the Wade situation, but grow the frick up. They aren’t going to let things stay as they are with men’s hoops long term as hard as they’ve worked to improve every other program on campus.

Why not try to be good in all 4 sports? It’s your goal as an AD to be successful in all sports. Shut up arse clown

“Financial support”

“Facility upgrades”

“Not folding to media/ ncaa pressure”

Shall I continue?

These are usually benchmarks of successful programs

He “could” be.

But he didn’t “have” to be.

I don’t care that Scotty didn’t have to pay a buyout. You don’t fire a good coach who has brought excitement to your lifeless program because you don’t have to pay a buyout.

Scotty blew it. And the result is LSU is the worst men’s basketball program in the conference.

I’ve never understood firing a coach that is OBVIOUSLY going to be hired again. What’s the point? Virtue signaling?

Will wade is going to coach again, why shouldn’t it have been with us...

Chris Beard is obviously going to coach again.

Just like Pitino coached again.

These guys all end up coaching again. The virtue signal firing is the dumbest most overused thing in sports.

What’s a slap in the face is the predicament that Wade put us in. I’ve been a fan and season ticket holder before you were born. Wade won some games and a sec title. But he was a horrible floor coach. If you’re the fan that you claim to be support McMahon through thick and thin.

An AD with the across the board record that Woody has right now won’t be getting fired, here or anywhere else. If it takes another hire to fix men’s hoops, it will happen, but short of other issues outside of sports, he isn’t going anywhere. Make your peace with that or you may as well leave now.

The stupidity of people wanting Wade know nothing about the game. He was a terrible floor coach. Sure he could recruit. But he was, and LSU was absolutely atrocious on the defensive end. Look at what a well coached team like Michigan State did to us. That was never going to change. Wade had 1st round nba talent and never won anything of significance.

If you’re an LSU fan support us through thick and thin. I was a freshman at LSU in 1992. We went 2-9 that year. And I went to every game. And still do. Sttdb if you don’t support tiger basketball.

LSU basketball has plenty support and financial backing. To think otherwise is absurd
