We passed on Eddie George, and also Corey Dillon.

Man, I was a child and I knew these were bad decisions.

So you're telling me that a guy that is paid millions and been in the NFL for decades, needed a college kid to call and tell him that he needed to trade up to get him?

And before you answer that, think about it, a coach that won 2 Superbowls in 5 years, has been to 3 and was pretty successful in Phillie needed a college kid to tell him how to run his franchise? Well that throws a lot of shade in Payton not being the genius most proclaim him to be, if true. If not true it shows reid is smarter than Payton.

So we either have a coach near 70 smarter than Payton or as you want us to believe a 20 year old college kid is. And this is the guy that y'all wanted the franchise to pay $25 million a year for? Lmao

Let's just go ahead and sign mahommes to be our coach once he hangs up the cleats

No lol. And that is irrelevant. You really don’t read past one sentence in the last post you see do you lol. The point was that Mahomes called the chiefs bc that is where he wanted to go. I was just recapping what he has said if you read the articles.

People always remember missing out on Mahomes for good reason

But the very next draft, Drew Brees was 1 older, the Saints traded up and picked Marcus Davenport instead of Lamar Jackson.

That miscue doesn’t get talked about nearly enough due to the chasm between Mahomes and Lamar.

Lamar is still probably a top 8 or so QB though, that also won an MVP award not too long ago.

I also think picking Olave and Penning instead of Olave and Pickett is going to be something we look back on and shake our heads at as well, unless Penning legitimately becomes a stud left tackle.
