Given your parameters, I'd focus on looking for a TJ. They're easy to work on that straight 6 engine holds up if you take care of it. I'd get a manual too... much easier to maintain a Jeep's manny transmission than an automatic.

TJ is definitely the way to go for the OP. I have a YJ so i'm partial to the ol square headlights, but the suspension is so much better on a TJ.

and i wouldnt worry about the miles since it's not going to be a daily driver. just learn to work on it yourself best you can, and accept that sooner or later big shite will break and need to be replaced.
