I'm just now seeing this commitment from Cai Bates. What's cool about it is he played at my high school in Orlando - Edgewater. It would be awesome to have an Edgewater play come and play for the Tigers!

Did Atkins decommit or not?
I see where some sites don't have him listed but never saw where he committed elsewhere

Watched him play vs Benton in the playoffs last year. Someone there said he committed to Bama, had no idea it's LSU.
At halftime he put on a show. He drilled a 70 yarder with room to spare with only two steps into it. Granted the wind was at his back, but this kid has got a leg on him. He was lined up for a 73 yarder until the ref came up and stopped him because teams were coming back out. Everyone was booing the ref because he stopped him.

Yes there sure is, hell ESPN still has McBride as a 3 star.
When looking at the ON3 composite of the big 4 sites, I believe all the commits but Breaux, Foster, Lee and Cryer all the only consensus 3 stars if I recall correctly

It's shaping up to be a nice class, especially if the DBs and ATHs projected as DBs work out.
But, real talk here - LSU is losing an arms race.
UGA has FIFTEEN players in 247's composite Top 200, including #1 QB, CB and LB, with Top #10 at their position everywhere. (ETA: Hell, Florida has 12 Top 200.)
At this point - LSU has only 7 in the Top 200. Having said that, I think there are some bonafide stars (in the making) in LSU's class - McBryde, Billiot, Singleton, ETA: Bates (to name a few), but the UGA juggernaut is starting to feel like the Bama juggernaut not that long ago.
But, real talk here - LSU is losing an arms race.

With the poor recruiting of HS QBs for LSU the last 20 years they should get their QBs through the portal Like Borrow and Daniels. Why are they not recruiting the OSU QB he is looking at NEB of all places.
