Holy cow! I just finished the first episode. The show is incredible so far. Watching Justin Thomas and his father celebrate the major was legit.
Rejoice golfers. Hopefully they do this every damn year.

The first 2 episodes are so corny. The forced bromance of Spieth and Thomas followed by Koepka acting emo and trying too hard. Maybe golf just doesn’t have interesting stories and characters. Tiger just carried the baton for the last 25 years.

People on here can find way to be upset with anything. The show is awesome.
Good insight on Fitzpatrick - he is likable. Finau was already easy to root for but now so even more. And for as much as Koepka wants it to seem like he doesn’t like golf, he’s competitive enough to where you can tell how much his shite play/injuries bothered him.

I’ll agree that the Fitzpatrick stuff was better than some of the other profiles. The Finau storyline bored the hell out of me. Couldn’t care less about his family.

Watched the first episode last night. It sucked. Just boring and choppy and all over the place. Terrible production quality. I was not expecting the type of show where they have to explain what a par, birdie, eagle is etc.

Are we on the rant or the golf board? Why can't we just be happy they put a netflix series out about a sport we love? It's certainly better than watching all the other shitty shows they have on there.
Maybe all of you naysayers will be more hyped for the new Outer Banks since you all seem to love high school so much

I think one of the reasons that Drive to Survive is so great is the access we have during the races. We can hear about decisions made, reactions, arguments, etc. I'm only 1.5 episodes into Full Swing, but that is what is really missing. I like it just fine, but most of the action is just dubbed over with interviews or reactions from parents outside the ropes. I understand it may not be possible to get more access, but that is the main difference I see.

It has some, but the first two episodes definitely seem to go out of its way to avoid them for whatever reason.
I agree the first two episodes are terrible. No interest in watching Brooks pretending like he actually cares about golf, or watching JT and Spieth ride private jets around betting on pointless shite
There is some decent stuff later in the season though. The Dahmen ep is good, Finau is really likable, Sahith seems like an interesting guy to follow, etc.
But overall they missed the mark. Could have used a lot more of guys like Hovland, Homa, Higgs, Kis, etc
