But is there another online retailer besides outsidepride.com and hancock seed?

I’ve ordered from both of them and highly recommend. There’s others, but I’ve had great luck with the products from these two.

2. It looks as though Arden 15 and Princess 77 are out of stock at Hancock seed. Is there another variety I should look at that is readily available?

It may simply be unavailable at the moment. Email them and see when they are getting inventory. It usually only comes in stock for a few months.

You can also ask them for recommendations. There are a ton of Bermuda options that you’ll need to consider, including blends. Blackjack, Highland, Royal, etc. I switched from Arden 15 to Royal TXD to save a little cost. Arden 15 is very expensive to do large areas.

3. Has anyone on here hydroseeded themselves? If so, is it really doable?

My neighbor built his own rig for his side x side. He seeded some rye this winter and it looks like it worked great. He mentioned the cost for the rig and it would likely be uneconomical for only 1 acre. We each have several acres we’re trying to seed.

I’ve been seeding my 4 acres in portions. I usually do 10-15k sqft at a time. Depending on rain or weather, and I can prep, seed, water, and grow in a few weeks. Then move to the next area. You’ll need an irrigation system or a bunch of hoses.

4. Do any of y'all have an irrigation company recommendation that you've used in my area?

I do not. Do you really need it over the full 1 acre? What about doing it around the area surrounding the house only?

I’m keeping all options open for now. We’ll have a septic system with sprinkler heads, and that will be across the back part of the backyard. I’m not too familiar with how much coverage that provides. Our lot is about 200’ x 285’.

Hancock specifically says Arden replaced Princess, and Arden 15 is now discontinued. Not sure how you think discontinued means unavailable at the moment
