TRS Yucatan, though older than Coral, is my favorite. The TRS area was redesigned about 5 years ago. It has an infinity pool, Helios, that is propped over the coastal water. I know it's just a pool, but it's the best pool and view IMO. It is also part of a massive Grand Palladium property. I love this resort because it is cut out of the mangroves and all buildings are separated out by walkways and bridges with a fresh water system running all through the property.

I was there in January at the Palladium White Sands and walked around the TRS area and thought it very nice. Like you, I enjoyed the mangrove areas and the wildlife. The whole resort feels like so much more than just a beach and a pool.
