He didn’t make a good hire I can say that with pretty good authority right now. But I’m not trying to look at the hire in the lense of today. Look at the hire when it was made? This board had no problem with it then. He made as good of a hire as could be expected. It didn’t work out. shite happens. I hate the contract and that’s on Woodward and he also has a history of guaranteeing too much money at the front.

But you had to bring a coach into very unfavorable circumstances. The only way to do that was to pay up. It was a gamble. It didn’t work. So fricking what. Dude hired a football coach who won the west in year one. Hired a women’s basketball coach who has one of the best teams in the country in year two and hired a baseball coach who has a unanimous preseason #1 team in year two and you think he’s a bad AD because he couldn’t navigate around Will Wade’s fricking circus?
