Group 1 : (The cool kid)
Alabama
Auburn
LSU
Florida
Georgia
Texas
Oklahoma
Tennesse
Group 2: (wannabe cool kid)
Ole Miss
Miss State
TAM
Missouri
South Carolina
Kentucky
Vandy
Arkansa
TO make it a fair contest; each team should play 2 teams as their permanent opponent from group 1 & Group 2 .
I have divided the group based on the programs ability to win natty, booster deep pocket , talent etc...
So LSU should ideally play
1. TA&M
2. Florida
3. Auburn
4. Ole Miss
P.S: I am not trying to avoid Alabama as permanent rival because of their recent success; I just think the above 4 form better rivals. And Alabama will not have the success that it had in the last decade once Saban steps down ( ~4-6 years). This group forms a better opponent for LSU.
It also helps in recruiting across the talent rich Florida and Texas state
Also all this is down the drain if Clemson and FSU decides to join SEC next
