Any "space" in modern America that is segregated by race is inherently racist and goes directly against what Dr. King was trying to achieve.
All of these kids should be allowed to say whatever they want among themselves. But that should also be true of white folks with racist/bigoted views. "Saying" isn't "acting" and words are not equivalent to violence.
Unfortunately, we have speech codes that are largely enforced in a single direction. That's a form of tyranny and a recipe for disaster.

A couple of friends and I call each other honkie and when in the gym we refer to each other as vanilla gorillas. It’s all good banter. We don’t cross racial lines though.
