It’s about time EBRPSO put the hammer down on these thugs and their Chargers terrorizing our streets.

Was it nighttime?
Also... What does state police fly?

We got caught in that at the old Hobby Lobby parking lot on O'Neal Lane that evening. Must have been over 75-100 trucks there as a stagging area and stopping traffic to exit parking lot eventhough light was red for them.
How someone from the police department didn't drive by and see all this and stop to figure out what was going on is beyond me except unless they don't care!

For every vehicle he passed, there should be some type of attempted vehicular manslaughter. Same with any accidents cause. Start stacking charges on these clowns.

It doesn't really matter when you're driving like a bat out of hell, running contrary to traffic and blowing through intersections. Once they have someone spotted, they aren't likely to lose them. It's not like Baton Rouge is known for its plethora of tunnels or anything.

Things that can clock 100 knots (~115mph).
Helos + radio = caught

They've staged up there since before Hobby Lobby closed that location. The problem is that it's private property so until/unless the property owner complains or they believe a crime is being committed, they can't run them off.
However, they COULD just pull in and hang out there. Cops being there would push them to go elsewhere (and the cops can just keep showing up until they either stop or leave the area to do their shite).

You might be correct but that seem backwards to me.
I can't just go hang out on someone property just because the owner never told me I couldn't. Seems to me it can be a crime if I do not have the owners approval not disapproval.

It's the difference between a business property and private property. With the former there is understood leeway for allowance of people to be there, so much so that loitering is considered allowable unless the property owner puts up signs to the contrary and/or contacts local law enforcement.
This is a bit of the innocent until proven guilty mindset.
Like I said though, there's nothing at all wrong with a cop or five also pulling up and hanging out there. Do it enough and the loiters will eventually move on, especially once those cops start busting them for racing and such.

One officer in a BRPD helicopter saw a vehicle performing donuts in the intersection, according to the affidavit. Pedestrians and other vehicles were present. The helicopter followed the vehicle, a 2022 Dodge Charger, which left the area “at an extremely high rate of speed.” During the ensuing pursuit, the Charger reportedly topped 100 mph.
