You married or have a good gf? Sitting at home alone will eat at anyone.

Get another dog soon imo. They’re usually better than women anyway.

Put it behind you and don’t dwell on it. Start over. Be positive.

Consider starting a meditation practice. Start with ten minutes a day and just watch your thoughts and emotions. Don’t do anything about it. Just be an observer. If you do it regularly it will give you insight into the deep reasons you use as an excuse to drink. Most of these feelings and beliefs are suppressed in your subconscious mind but meditation will bring them to your conscious awareness so that you can work with them.

It's not a race, don't forget that. Don't succumb to self loathing.

Forgive yourself and keep this in mind, if addiction had a baseball bat to beat you with, it would be self pity.

Man you made it over TWO YEARS

That is amazing

You are going through some tough shite right now but alcohol and drugs aren't going to make you feel better, and you know that

Just get back to day 1 of a new streak

I been there done that. Sober 6.5 years this time. I focus on not starting (not taking the first drink). Sobering up is hard on me. I know I got a few more drunks left, I just don't think I can sober up again. I pray every morning for God to help me not drink today, If I make it, I thank him at night. Wish you the best!!!!

They say relapses are planned, inadvertently or not and absolutely not judging. What’s your opinion.

I don't have any particular experience in this, but I always think of this tune whenever I screw something up after a stretch of doing well

So, you’ve been off for 2 years and 7 months and on for a single day. A little over 3 hours a new day begins…continue the streak.

Hey, keep the trend positive.

I have been working out / dieting great. Today, if it was fried, I ate it.

Tomorrow, working out / dieting great.

Chit happens. Don't let it rule you. You are in charge of you.

Can always start again tomorrow, if you put a cap on it tonight. Everyone stumbles at times.
