It's like they thought they needed to name the court after someone and Brown was a good candidate.

But you don't need to name the court after anyone. Leave it unnamed unless someone's accomplishments are so phenomenal that naming the court after him is just obvious.

I’m surprised they picked Brown and didn’t just pocket some money from Valluzo McDonalds or Gordon McKernan

My feelings exactly. Some would argue Dale IS that guy.

Vitale has been blabbering on the last 10 years what a "Travesty" it is that the court had not been named after Dale yet. I've had relatives and friends express the same sentiment to me.

When they would ask if I agreed I would always say that I was ambivalent - that I had no strong feeling one way or the other and if it never happened, I'd be perfectly o.k. and if it did happen I would not lose sleep.

I can tell you I'll never say when going to a game - I'm going to see the game today at Dale Brown Court or Brown/Gunter Court or whatever. I'll say I'm going to the PMAC.
