Lol losing a LA guy to Colorado….

Meh, if it happens he is the recruiting mastermind people were crowning him to be before he actually did anything. I wouldn't lose any sleep about it unless he proves to also be an elite developer...in which case college football might have a problem on their hands. That's exceedingly unlikely though.

I think the split on Coach Prime is that many don’t think he’s paid his dues and also don’t believe he is a good coach. Add in the fake high school and his loud personality and I think that rubs some the wrong way.

Personally, I see Coach Prime as a similar Orgeron in the head coach role. A motivator, hard arse, etc….or at least what many thought was his role, or at least I did.

I think he can succeed and he could do so relatively quickly. I think the coordinator hires and coaches he brings around him will largely determine his success.

Just wait until The University of Deion gets blown out vs TCU & Nebraska (Matt Rhule)
& then loses to USC, UCLA, Washington, Oregon, Oregon State, and Utah. That’s at least 8 losses.

It is hilarious how so many people think coaching for 2 years in the SWAC gives Deion credibility as a College Coach. It is a joke.

He was overrated as a player (not saying he wasn’t good as a player before people get all butthurt. He just wasn’t as good as a lot of people think he was) so I guess they are following that tradition and overrating him as a coach.

He’s good at branding himself which gets peoples attention which makes people believe he’s better than he actually is. He adheres to the idea that there is no such thing as bad publicity. Just get your face and name out there and people will follow you regardless of what you do. It’s true, there are a lot of people who will do anything to attach themselves to anyone who draws a crowd.

WHAT!?!? I couldn’t stand prime time or Deion when he played but that’s silly. He was probably the worst tackler for a CB I’ve seen but he was absolutely the best lockdown corner I’ve ever seen when he was locked in.
There’s a reason he went to the niners and won SB getting them over the cowboys hump. And then to cowboys to get them another. He absolutely shutdown one side of the field.
When he was younger he relied on his speed too much sometimes to his detriment but man it was a thing of beauty to watch him bait the quarterback by hanging off ten yards and when the qb threw it he’d hit that extra gear and pick it or knock it away.
One of the few players I absolutely loathed but he was a bomafide stud

Brian Kelly isn't Curly Hallman.

And Kelly has proven that he can go out wherever he wants and land big time players.

They’ll find a replacement for Johnson.

There are 2 or 3 athletes like him every year in Louisiana. We will survive with the one's that want to be at LSU.

Yep. Also signing day is 10 months away. Long way to go. I would spend too much time celebrating or worrying about commitments 10 months from signing day. But im getting old and jaded

I don’t see the Colorado experiment working out too well. I could be wrong with tho. Jackson state is a far jump to Colorado. Gunna take a few years. He’s on a even playing field. USC and Oregon are going to smoke Colorado this year. Deion is the off season king

Colorado doesn’t have the talent on the lines to beat the top teams in the Pac12. Deion is great at recruiting CBs though.

I agree with you prime is coach O or worse but the problem is neither one of them have the organizational skills to be able to run the whole organization. You are talking about a huge corporation in modern power five football. There are so many moving parts and I don’t think he has experience to do it just like coach O didn’t. That’s why I am so glad Brian Kelly is running the show because he gets it.

Just feels like Deion will hit every state like this and LSU drew the short straw this time. Don’t forget how many kids enter the portal after year one. Get another shot

I know you haven't paid attention to him saying this. He stated in a interview a year or 2 ago he would be crazy not to entertain offers. It is a better job, no pressure (1-11 last year CU), better facilities, and so on. People sound crazy Napier left ULL for Florida last year it is basically same shite.

Napier: ULL>Florida
Deion: JSU>Colorado

Both major upgrades in jobs.
