12 monkeys stolen at Broussard zoo can't seem to get national media coverage. Has the newness of the topic just worn off or is there a monkey jambalaya smoking somewhere on the bayou?

So will Broussard become the epicenter of the newest monkey pox they will create?

I’ve found monkeys are better in a sauce piquant.

my mom who lives near Dallas just asked me if I knew about this and had no idea! She said she saw it because some jack arse has been sneaking into the zoo in DFW and letting animals out at night. One being a leopard....

That's a really clean, well ran zoo, just a little small. Been on a few field trips with my kids there over the years. They have monkeys out in the open that you can see on the train ride. They claim they won't cross water. That's the only thing keeping them contained is a canal around the field if I recall.

Can we get Theo Von to help catch the monkeys? He said a 100 times he had to do that in Mandeville/Covington wherever he is from back in the 90s lol

Remember the Covid Monkeys that they found at the crash site in Pennsylvania. That was a huge cover up that went away.

Weird coincidence - i had to be in north BR for work the other day and i heard this alien-sounding shrieking coming from the woods. Kinda like a lot of birds but not birds. I was busy so i put it out of my mind. When i had to leave the area i heard it again going out to my car. I remembered that i was somewhat close to the Baton Rouge zoo, so figured it was just the zoo animals. I’ve been in that area many times before, though, and never heard that sound. Later the same day i heard on the radio about the monkeys. Coincidence?

This The Advocate article I read about it yesterday had an interesting story about an Asian fellow stealing three birds from them in the past.

He and one of the birds (from injury later) died in a fiery auto-crash as he attempted to escape.
