Brookhaven, Miss

My family has 500 acres around Hazzlehurst and Brookhaven. Great deer hunting, low democrap demographic and if/when the shite hits the fan, we all could farm that shite and live happily ever after.

The plan for the wife and I is to retire and move to the lake or possibly buy a small ranch. Coming from South Arkansas my first two choices for living on the lake would be Farmerville/Downsville or Homer (Claiborne). Community wise Farmerville is much better than Homer but the wife likes Claiborne better than D'Arbonne. I'm the exact opposite. That said, several East Texas lakes may be in play for us.... Cedar Creek, Fork, Lake o' the Pines, Palestine, Toledo Bend.
Many would be on my LA town list for that reason.
