A small town in CenLa noone knows about or wants to live in. Roughly 2 hours from Laffy, 2.5 from BR, 30 minutes to Alex (better airport than Shreveport, at least currently), hourish from Natchez, and Monroe, and you can hunt and fish until its time for the old folks home. Plus COL is low so you can live like a king.

Leave Jonesville outta this.

Close but no cigar, but I wasn't being specific. I'd live in Effie, Deville, Jena, Columbia, Harrisonburg, etc. Although northwest of Jonesville towards 28 is some beautiful farm land.

ETA: Winn Parish and Grant don't suck either if you like solitude and being in BFE. Basically CenLa east of Alex somewhere. Has its problems but has its good things, but the OP is a very loaded question and priority dependent.
