Exactly. Trump was not compelled to do these interviews and knew he was being taped.
How in the hell he thought that was a good idea, I have no clue. Another one of Trump's self-inflicted, head scratching decisions.

This - I love the man's accomplishments dearly, but damn, his private life decisions baffle me.
And there is no way I'd ever give some a-hole like Woodward anything but a smirk and a slap in the face.
He cannot be trusted with anything.
It would be different if he was honest about his intentions - but he is merely a talented political hit-man.
