You can straight through, but I would recommend reading others after you finish words of radiance.
That way you can pickup on all the cosmere tie points.
Just my opinion however.

I just finished Words of Radiance. The last 150 pages is a nonstop action packed twisting joy to plow through. I couldn’t tear myself away. When Syl finally came back and Kaladin hits his full potential while Dalinar and Andolin are fighting Szeth was magic. I had waited for 2 books for a shard blade to turn into a spear lol. I cheered at that.
Sanderson is a master of his craft. What an amazing story and book. Both this book and Way of Kings blew away my expectations of what a fantasy book could be. Wow.
Kaladin, Dalinar, and Andolin have become my favorite characters in any book I’ve read in a long time. I assume after a re-read they’ll be my favorite of all time.
Glad Sadeas finally got what was coming to him. Hopefully Amaram will as well. Hopefully Andolin doesn’t become a jealous assclown and destroy himself, but killing Sadeas seems to be counter to “protecting even those I hate”. Guess that’s why he’s not a Radiant.
