I'm on the second one, and this is sort of my take. I actually am enjoying the second book more than the first, though. I guess the people who love Way of Kings really enjoy the Kaladan exile/redemption plotline and how he crafts the bridge men into something special, but it just didn't do it for me. I probably shouldn't have gone into it with the expectation of it being the best fantasy book ever, though. That can set the bar unreasonably high.
