Had to replace mine last week. $81. They guy told me it is because so many vehicles now have different length wipers on the car so they cant pack them in pairs. My driver side was 24" and the passenger side was 22".

He took you for $81 then. You wouldn’t have paid no where close if you knew what you were doing.

What's the make, model & year?

I know some of these upper end vehicles have wiper blades that have all these fancy-dancy features like water squirters and heated blades.

The BMW vehicle wiper blades can be way up there plus they sometimes charge at least an hour for a 5 minute wiper blade change.

BTW, I buy OE wiper blades for my Toyotas for about $20 each. They fit like a glove, they last a good 2 years and do their function very well.

The crappy wiper blades you get a auto-junk.com or fleabay last for about 6 months at the most.

You can buy cheapies, but you get what you pay for.

I get Ancos that last pretty much 90% as long as Bosch or Rain-X for about 1/3 the cost. Rain-x glass treatment every few months and windshield washer fluid do way more than the blades anyway.

what did I miss? I used to get the Rain-X ones for about $65. This was years ago---- So the crappy ones are now this much?

I remember when car batteries weren't $200-$300.

Here is a tip. Go to Oreilly's, they have the regular batteries that last as long as the dumb diehards.

Schiff for brains and Swallowswell are throwing gigantic fits because they can't be on intel committees that require top clearance.

I don't know about the fringe crap, ask Bunkie. He takes one for the team and reads them

Ask them for the ones behind the counter.

They are fine and they don't put them out on the floor.

My last pair cost me $4.17 each or a basic wiper assembly.
They last as long as the nicer ones.

You usually GET what you PAY for, and wipers are no different.

Wrong

With wipers if you have streaks with new blades it’s probably because you have a problem with your tension spring. Mechanic can fix it in 10 min and likely won’t even charge if you use him regularly.

Blades, bargain and “high end” only last as long as the condition’s allow. If in a garage at night in winter and a garage during the day in summer, you’ll get a lot more life out of them. Ice and heat deteriorate the blades bargain or not.

There’s no magic rubber being used by rain-x. Your expensive blades are marked up just like expensive wine. You perceive them to be better quality because you paid more, but it’s really all the same shite
