Who has been? Where did you stay? How was it? What kind of stuff is there to do? Thinking about going over Mardi Gras next year. How is the temp during that time? Thanks.
ETA: Or any other really good spot around there.

We went in 2019 in February. Weather was just about perfect. We stayed at Grace Bay. Cant remember the name of the condo's but they were directly in front of the reef at Grace Bay. We took a boat out one day, rented cars and kayaked Chalk bay. There is also a Thursday night Fish fry beach party that was a blast.

Trying to get ours planned for this year.

Here is a link for some suggestions.
LINK
I'm heading there in April and staying at Seven Stars. It really seems like this is more of a chill-out kind of island and not a big party scene. We have a few places picked out and have seen a lot of recommendations for the Thursday fish fry. As of now, I have two days planned to dive, one to snorkel, and one day trip to Middle Caicos. The rest is just sitting on the beach not doing a damn thing.

We stayed at The Shore Club on Long Bay Beach. Quite a few kiteboarding schools on that side of the island. Also, rent a jet ski and ride out to the La Famille Express shipwreck. You can climb up the cargo net and jump off. Wear sneaks though. The deck is rusty. And not far from there, a floating tiki bar that you can tie up to and have a few beers

When are they going to lift the damn vax requirement?!?!
Been holding us back for over a year now from going.

Just booked for May. Will report back after that. We are older so we avoided resorts. Went with a smallish place that looks to be in walking distance to food.

Going in July. Can’t wait.
Beaches with the kids.

Just got back a week ago. We stayed at a resort in Grace Bay, so I can’t tell you much about the island outside of the resort or beach.
We went to a bar, a grocery store and some shops near the resort on our one outing. Stuff there is Uber expensive. Like $20 for a 6 pack of Coors light and $12 for a box of cereal. The resort was the way to go price wise IMO.
Water and beaches are amazing. Snorkeling is great. Iguana island and Noah’s arc boat stop are fun places. You can rent little go carts and tour the island. We didn’t do that, but it was offered by our resort. I saw there is a place on the south side of the island that you can go horseback riding and they go in the water with you.
Lots of boat-paragliding. I wanted to do a fishing trip, but it was pricy unless you have a decent sized group.

Take a drive to Chalk Sound. Never seen water so turquoise that it looked like it was glowing and radioactive.

We were there a few years ago. It'd be a perfect place for vacation, especially if you’re looking for a relaxed, understated location.
Tourism Overview
We rented a townhome that was 2 blocks from the beach. Easy 15 minute walk to the beach or into Providenciales.
GraceBay Townhomes
Frankly, wasn't our favorite island that we've visited. I'll give my pros and cons:
Pros:
Easy flight from the US
Beautiful beaches
Good seafood
Cons:
VERY expensive
Flat non-descript arid island
Poor island outside of the main tourist areas
Have to drive on the left side of the road
Highlights of the trip:
Rented a car and went to Taylor Bay Beach. One of the most idyllic beaches on the island of Providenciales. A bit of a drive from Grace Bay Beach, this relatively isolated beach is definitely worth the trip. Later stopped on the way back for lunch at a really cool restaurant on the water: Bugaloos Location is on water and very nice. Little dark area to travel to at night, but once you are there, it is very nice. Best conch on the island in our view. Often have live music.
The other highlight was our snorkeling trip with Island Vibe Tours. I used to dive extensively, and will say the shore access snorkeling isn't that great of the several spots we tried. But once you go off shore, it's very nice. They did a great job and we stopped off at the Iguana Island.
