He thinks he knows exactly what types of evidence the NCAA has (he doesn’t), that the NCAA never bends or re-interprets their rules on the fly (they do) and that the IARP is actually independent (not really and definitely not completely).

The NCAA likely won’t do much to LSU. Like Tennessee football, we fired the coach who’s likely to get hammered and NC State, Memphis and Louisville didn’t get major penalties from the IARP. They will likely have some fines and maybe a brief scholarship reduction.

But I don’t see Pruitt and Wade getting off easy. Both have been accused of lying and obstruction (Pruitt more during UT’s investigation, but UT’s defense is built around it. Wade to both LSU and the NCAA.), which are among the accusations that the NCAA loves to hit guys hard for. The last two well-known hoops coaches to do that were Pearl and Sampson, both of whom got hit with major show causes of 3 and 5 years, respectively.

Pruitt is likely to get judgement first, so what happens to him will probably be a good litmus test for Wade.

No just a donor who was burned by the AD.

I type this from PFT living my dream of finally attending LSU. I love LSU but I cannot commit money to the Athletic Department anymore. I had season tickets to all sports that have been canceled over the summer. I can support LSU athletics from my couch. Basketball at LSU isn’t worth it anymore because there is no commitment to the program from the AD.
