Years later, we can probably say Burrow was far and away most responsible for 2019. Far and away.

Chase and Jefferson helped. They were a match made in the Hall of Fame.

I mean Joe’s incredible, but you add to that arguably the 2 best WRs in the NFL in Chase and Jefferson, a great OL and respectable RB in CEH. It’s easy to see that team was incredible due to the sum of its parts along with having the greatest college QB of all time. Kinda crazy if you think about it. There might be more than 3 HOF candidates fromThat team.

He was the most important piece, but remember that his two receivers are both dominating their position in the NFL just as much as Joe is dominating his. His offensive line has proven to be loaded with NFL talent. And his running back was a first round draft choice.

The last five games of that season were dominating performances by our defense, which was itself loaded with NFL talent.

There was a remarkable confluence of talent and coaching. Dave Aranda was a brilliant DC, and Ensminger was a playbook short of being a great OC - and Brady brought the playbook.

Eh. Hard to discount Ja'Marr and Justin. Just think how crazy it is.

You had a hall of fame level qb throwing to 2 hall of fame level wrs. With a ton of NFL guys for good measure. Thats LSU team could beat any college team ever.

Burrow had a year without Brady. He was a solid, but different Burrow. It was a 50/50 marriage. QBs (no matter who they are), need a great OC (with a good system), solid OL, run game, and a decent Defense. Take away either, and the QB trajectory changes. Burrow at Texas, makes Texas better, but not a contender.

That's the common perception in Michigan where I live. Joe Burrow is just a very special talent and he had all-world receivers with him in 2019.

Joe may have been the catalyst, but he couldn't have done it without the receivers, running back, and the defense. We struggled stopping Ole Miss when some of the defenders were injured.

But, Joe Burrow also had perhaps the best 3 wide receivers ever assembled on one team to throw to.

I'm not disagreeing, but Chase, Jefferson and Marshall made Joe's job a lot easier.
