He better hope there aren't any Gamecocks on that jury. His crusade to shut down bars in 5 Points (especially Taneyhill's bar) have made him despised in a lot of Gamecock circles. It may not make a difference, but you never know.

Between Dick Harpootlian and Jack Swerling as SC criminal lawyers I would pick Jack, they don't call him Mr. Murder for nothing.
Funny enough they actually faced off against each other in one of SC's most infamous serial killer/rapist cases, Pee Wee Gaskins. Dick was the prosecutor and Jack was the defense attorney. They also practiced together for years at Swerling, Harpootlian and McCulloch.
They have similar "power" but Jack's is bottom-up and Dick's is top-down to wit Dick's wife Jaime is the Ambassador to Slovenia and as an aside is a Tulane law grad.
