While locked up, you would think Murdaugh possessed enough common sense to understand that all jailhouse calls are recorded, as a former attorney.

It was only after a shite ton of his jailhouse calls got released that he realized he needed to run all calls through his attorney and claim privilege.

The content of the calls showed he didn’t really remember much from law school either, he had no idea what Habeas Corpus was during his preliminary hearings.

By all accounts he wasn't much of a lawyer, lived off his family legacy. That part of the state they ran it for generations. He inherited it because of his name but certainly dint earn anything. blame. Grandfathers picture was still hanging in the courtroom where his preliminary stuff was happening.. His son Buster was/is a law school drop out. The son that was killed was a 5 foot 5 inch bully that got away with everything growing up because of grandpa. The HBO documentary was sad, the boyfriend of the girl that died on the boat was pathetic. After all that happened he was still sympathetic toward Paul.

IMO there are many other dead bodies attributed to them because people still fear the name.
