Its almost certainly the case, but the Pelicans consistently do themselves no favors whatsoever with their reporting on injuries.
Reporting it as a bruise, never really changing that, and Ingram being out for 2+ months does him no favors PR wise.
Tell the truth, be open and honest with the injury and timeline.

Bingo—they did the same thing with the hamstring injury last year. They ask us to care, be committed and support the team, but lack the common decency give proper updates. Not having info even impacts the casuals.
I don’t think most of us would have these issues with any of the injuries if we were given updates and sound info.
I said this during the hamstring fiasco—either the medical staff is incompetent or they are liars.
