If he goes to Ole Miss or TCU he is still going to be 2nd string.

But even then he's only 1 QB away. 1 poor QB play or injury away. Getting much more meaningful reps in his development early on.
I wish he'd stay at LSU though. I'm not a prideful person.

I don’t think WH expects to go start somewhere next year.
I think he looks at the situation at LSU, sees he’ll be doing the same thing next year he did this year, and figured he’ll just throw his name in the portal and see if something better comes along.
Why not? He’s got nothing to lose. Worst can happen, he loses his scholarship and has to pay in state tuition.
